Hi, I’m Monique Rhodes. I’ve been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 15 years and am so passionate about the positive impact it can have on your mind and life – even in as little as ten minutes a day!

Originally from New Zealand, I lived in India for many years and found myself teaching stressed out and anxious Westerners how to meditate to find inner calm and peace.

They’d travelled to India seeking a happier life and ways to manage their stress – for most of them, meditation was life changing. But then they had to return home, to their busy lives… and without me. At their request I created The 10 Minute Mind – a simple and easy way for them to continue their daily mindfulness meditation practice at home.

The feedback was awesome. I’d get enthusiastic emails raving about how they were worrying less, were happier, more hopeful and their minds were calmer.

MONIQUE'S BACKGROUND

Monique Rhodes has been practicing mindfulness meditation for 15 years and teaching it to stressed out Westeners for almost as long.

The 10 Minute Mind was a great way to combine her two passions in life: meditation and music. A lifelong professional musician, Monique used her talents to develop all the accompanying music tracks for The 10 Minute Mind. These specifically designed tracks anchor the mind and make meditation even more effective.

She has done the same for some of the best-known spiritual teachers of our time. She created the album ‘Heartbeats’ – which combines spoken word teachings with music – with teachers such as Thich Naht Hahn, Ekhart Tolle and Pema Chödrön and worked on ‘Gems of Wisdom’, a spoken word and music project for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

In 2010 Monique was nominated for the New Zealander of the Year Award for her charity work in New Zealand. 

Monique is passionate about bringing the practice of mindfulness meditation to as many people as possible, to help people cope with the increasing stress and pressures of the modern world.

The 10 Minute Mind actively supports practitioners in long term meditation retreats, the Karunyatheeram Orphanage in Kerala, India and Mercy For Animals.
