3 Thought Thursday : 7th March

Here is your weekly dose of three things that have impressed me during the week or that I am contemplating.

Something Very Special For You -
This year I am travelling quite a bit - right now I am writing to you from India! More and more people are asking me to come and do talks all over the world. I am really keen to do talks especially for the people who are students of my programs and their friends and family. I'm getting very close to launching my new online course about Happiness and we've done a few intimate talks in California for friends and families of my students about this new program. It has been so special for everyone. So my team and I want to open the talks up and see how many of you are interested in possibly having me come and talk in your area. We are even open to you hosting a small event of just 20 people in your home. If this is of interest to you then click here to let us know and we can see with my schedule what might be possible.

My favourite article of this week -
Why scientists say experiencing awe can help you live your best life - this is a wonderful article about a topic we don't often discuss - awe. I often experience it in nature when I am home in New Zealand. I absolutely experienced it last year when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time. And there have been times when I have seen artistic performances - dance, music, visual arts, films - that have evoked this emotion.  "We spend a lot of our time thinking about what’s going on in our world and what’s affecting us directly. Awe changes that, making us see ourselves as a small piece of something larger."

My favourite advice article of the week -
Moving the body, boosting the mind: running your way to better mental health - a great article about the importance of exercise and it's effects on mental health. "A recent study published in the JAMA Psychiatry journal supported the theory that physical activity is an effective prevention strategy for depression."

My favourite photo of the week -
I call this this photo The Modern Meditator -  I took this photo from where I currently am in Bodhgaya, India.
