3 Thought Thursday : 28th February

Here is your weekly dose of three things that have impressed me during the week or that I am contemplating.

My favourite article of this week -
Cellphones at the dinner table? An etiquette expert weighs in - I don't know how you are but I get a little frustrated when people bring their cellphones to the dinner table. I want my friends to be present with me, not off somewhere else. So I was very curious to see what an etiquette expert had to say about exactly this.

My favourite advice article of the week -
Why ‘tidying up’ works: The psychology behind Marie Kondo’s advice - I'm not one to follow popular culture trends however I did read Marie Kondo's book soon after it came out. For 13 years I lived out of a 20kg bag as I travelled the world. I am not one to accumulate a lot of things. And due to this I have seen how having a lot of things can create stress and anxiety. I also came to realise how little I actually needed. So understanding why this technique works is very interesting. " “Like our minds, so goes our environment,” said Judson Brewer, a psychiatrist who studies mindfulness and behavior change."

My favourite photo of the week -
As I arrive today back to India for a visit, this is my photo of the week, highlighting once more the struggle women and children have the world over in the fight against sexual violence. This is an activist peering from her veil as she takes part in the national Dignity March against sexual violence against women and children, Delhi, India.
