3 Thought Thursday: October 3

By Monique Rhodes

Here is your weekly dose of three things that have impressed me during the week or that I am contemplating.

Our mission is to help the world become a happier, calmer, more peaceful place. If you would like to bring some peace to your organisation or one of your friends don't forget to tell them about The 10 Minute Mind.  Imagine if everyone at your work was using The 10 Minute Mind before they started their day...what a difference that could make!

My favourite article of the week -
If this sort of thing fascinates you then the title of this article in the NY Times this week will be enough to get you reading. He got schizophrenia. He got cancer. And then he got cured. A bone-marrow transplant treated a patient’s leukemia — and his delusions, too. Some doctors think they know why.

My favourite discovery of the week -
"Kid's Brainpower Tied to Exercise, Sleep and Limited Screen Time." I'm not sure if you have an iPhone but I have to say I am appreciating the new ability to see how much screen time I use each day. I realise more and more there are so many other things I'd rather be doing than staring at a screen in my downtime. So perhaps this study is helpful for us all.

My favourite video of the week -
Superhumans: The remarkable brain waves of high-level meditators. This is a wonderful video, only a few minutes long and super inspiring. If you want to know what happens to your brain when you meditate long term then this is the video to watch.
